Pastor Maryanne Kehlenbach is an ordained minister in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. She grew up in Rockville Centre, New York, attended Adelphi University where she earned her BBA and MBA, and worked in the financial services industry for 23 years. During that time, she served on various church councils as well as volunteered her time as a youth leader and confirmation teacher. She and her husband Carl moved to Palm Harbor, Florida in 1998 from Long Island, New York.
In 2006 Pastor Maryanne left the corporate world to pursue full time ministry. For 5 years she served as the Youth and Family Minister at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Dunedin, Florida. It was during that time that she answered God’s call to ordained ministry and began her studies at Luther Seminary. Pastor Maryanne and Carl now live in the Bedford Park neighborhood of Tradition in Port St. Lucie, and are thoroughly enjoying the benefits of the community. Don’t be surprised if you see the 2 of them walking around the lake, biking through the neighborhoods, resting in the town square watching families at play, shopping at the local stores or dining at one of the fabulous restaurants.
Pastor Maryanne believes that our faith is our life and life is our faith. Faith is a process, a life long journey in which God, through the Holy Spirit calls, gathers and enlightens us to God’s Word. It is the process of understanding that God has given us unending love, forgiveness, the free gift of grace and new and eternal life in Christ Jesus. And this leads to a life of faith in which we love God and love one another. This new and eternal life begins now in this world and continues to the next world where God is fully revealed.
